The handkerchief you will experience includes: To make coloring easier, I placed gold glue (glue for pasting gold leaf) on the outline of the pattern in advance. Although it is only one process of hand-painted Yuzen, I would be happy if you could feel Yuzen up close and enjoy it by experiencing it. Before experiencing ・What to prepare in addition to the set contents Utility knife, several newspapers, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, pressing cloth, tissue, 2 coloring brushes, picture plate *If you have a brush and plate ・Precautions when working (1) Please work at a large table where you can place handkerchiefs and tools. (2) Since colors are used, please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. (3) The pigments used have some odor. If you are concerned, please ventilate the room. (4) Please be careful of burns as you will be using an iron. (5) Two brushes are included, but it is best to prepare one for each color so that the work can proceed smoothly. *If you want to use a different color immediately after washing the brush, please wipe the brush thoroughly before using. The moisture from the brush dilutes the pigment, making the color lighter and less likely to adhere to the fabric. The work is not that difficult. Even children can do it by following the steps. *Limited to children who can hold a brush and color. Parents are responsible for preparing the fabrics and colors. Work procedure (1) Decide how to work There are two ways to work: one is to place a handkerchief on the table, and the other is to craft a box so that the fabric is floating. Work any way you like. ・It is easier to work on a table, but the newspaper or handkerchief placed underneath may ripple, and the color may accumulate in the rippled areas. If the handkerchief shifts, the color from the newspaper may stain the handkerchief. - If you work with the handkerchief floating in the box, it may be difficult to apply the color, but this will prevent stains caused by the handkerchief shifting. This method allows you to experience conditions closer to the work of a craftsman. *Please loosen the hair of the brush before using it. Loosen the fur using your fingers under running water or standing water. After loosening, wipe off moisture thoroughly. If a large amount of water remains, the pigment will become lighter and the color will not stick as well. (2) Fabric setting Place a newspaper or unused cloth under the handkerchief, or make a box and set the handkerchief in it. (Please see the instruction manual for details.) The image uses a box. (3) Color insertion (coloring) Shake the pigment well and use a brush to color the inside of the pattern. The pigment can be used as is after opening the lid. (If you have a picture plate, it's easier to use a picture plate.) Paint the desired color wherever you like. (4)Drying Once the coloring is finished, dry it with a hair dryer. (5) Color fixation Apply a pressing cloth and iron to fix the color. (6) Completed! Each person who experiences it has a unique personality. Enjoy the experience!
