218-r popolo traditional cultural item Tajimi Mino ware tile ring (free size) platinum (white gold) 134 hexagon
The highest quality ring made from real white gold! (Tile part only) A free-size ring made with traditional Mino ware tiles. This is an accessory made with Mino ware tiles, a part of traditional Japanese culture. This might be a sudden question, but what impression do you have of "tiles"? Do fewer people imagine bathroom walls? The accessories we make with Mino ware tiles are all handcrafted. Each piece is handcrafted, so each one has a unique appearance. The reason I created this accessory is that if tile culture becomes obsolete, the cherished traditions built by our ancestors might disappear. We create products to let people appreciate the goodness of tiles in a new form. These "Mino ware tiles" are sourced directly from a kiln in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture. Because there is no intermediary, we can offer these products while maintaining their price and quality. What is Mino ware? The history of Mino ware tiles began in the 3rd year of the Taisho era. The roots of Mino ware tiles lie in the tradition and techniques of Mino ware pottery, which have been preserved for over 1300 years. We have crafted these Mino ware tiles into pieces that are easily adapted to modern times. Each earring is handcrafted, so the design may vary slightly, making each piece a unique accessory in the world. Starting with Mino ware tiles from Tajimi in the Mino region, the center of ceramic production, demand for traditional items in Japan is currently decreasing. When you think of tiles, many people imagine bathrooms and toilets, but nowadays, there are very few houses that use tiles, which sometimes makes us feel a sense of loneliness. If awareness of tiles continues to decline among the younger generation, traditional items may no longer be available. Therefore, we developed this product with the desire for people to learn about traditional culture in a new way. To contribute to new forms of "town revitalization and regional revitalization," we are giving new life to these tiles as accessories. To further deepen local activities, we have started initiatives that connect to jobs for those providing employment support. We believe that there are limitless things that people with disabilities can do, depending on their ingenuity. We want Popolo to become a bridge between traditional products and employment support. Our future goal is to have media coverage and to spread awareness about local communities and employment support not only in Japan but also overseas.
