chrysanthemum plate

Description

This is a flower plate series that was created by revising the details and size of the kappo plates that were manufactured at the pottery in his hometown, and re-developing them as vessels that are easy to use at home. By incorporating traditional shapes, you can create a calm and gorgeous dining table.

JICON's chrysanthemum plate has both tension and softness, and is a very popular item due to its quality and ease of use. The serving plate is a size that makes it easy to use for placing fruits and Japanese sweets, or as a serving plate. They look beautiful stacked together, and we recommend having them for your entire family.

Chrysanthemum plates are also available in colored glazes. Just like choosing clothes, choose according to your mood.

[About the texture of JICON]
In order to get a feel for the texture of the pottery stone and glaze, the glaze is hardly stirred and iron powder is added to the surface of the pottery so that the brown dots (iron contained in the porcelain clay and glaze) and fine grains that give a sense of roughness appear on the surface. and fine particles remain. We aimed for the whiteness of the material itself, rather than the whiteness that looks like it has been bleached.
The colored glazes are also based on ecru white glazes, creating colors that find universality in traditional colors that can transcend Japanese and Western cultures.

Each item has unevenness and bleeding in the glaze. Also, as you use it, the texture of your skin will gradually change. Since we use a half-matte glaze, it tends to get brown stains easily and may leave marks (metal marks) from using metal cutlery. I would like to offer a Japanese-style way of enjoying ware, where you can feel the changes in the expression of the ware as a scenery and nurture them.
