Description
A cold-brew sencha herbal tea made by slowly and carefully brewing lemongrass with cold water, which combines the flavor of Yame tea with a refreshing and pleasant scent.
The main ingredient that gives Yame tea its characteristic flavor is an amino acid called theanine. Bitterness and astringency are caused by catechins and tannins. Theanine, which is a flavor component, has the characteristic that it can be easily extracted even in cold water compared to bitter and astringent components catechin and tannin.
We hope that you can suppress the bitterness and fully enjoy the flavor that is characteristic of Yame tea.
Lemongrass is free of fragrances, colorants, and pesticides. We handle everything from cultivation to processing in-house. Through joint research with Fukuoka Women's University, it was discovered that due to its cultivation and processing technology, lemongrass contains more effective aroma components (β-myrcene, geranial, neral, etc.) than dried lemongrass produced overseas.
Herbs grown overseas are usually dried in the sun, but not only do the aromatic components that make them good evaporate, but they also end up smelling like dried grass or bacteria.
Nakamuraen's herbs are uniquely washed and dried at low temperatures to suppress the volatilization of aromatic components, allowing you to enjoy the original flavor of fresh herbs. Please try the beautiful colored and fragrant lemongrass grown in our own farm.
Yame tea can be served with cold water to suppress the extraction of caffeine, and lemongrass is caffeine-free, so it is also recommended for those who want to enjoy tea without caffeine.
