"TouRou" was born from the traditional Japanese paper craft of "Yamaga lantern," which has been passed down as a lantern for Shinto rituals and dedications in Yamaga City, Kumamoto Prefecture. Based on techniques dating back to the Muromachi period, the colors and shapes of the parts used in gold lanterns have been reconstructed. It is a mobile that moves gracefully with the natural wind or with human footsteps. When illuminated, you can also enjoy planet-like shadows. The washi paper parts are handmade by a craftsman known as a "lantern maker" throughout the entire process.
